Nature’s beauty is once again coming full circle as we welcome the change of seasons with more sunshine and stunning colorful spring flowers. The earth bursts forth to welcome the insects with delicate fragrances for pollination and communion. Undoubtedly, this is a time for renewal and creativity, a time of shedding old skins and stepping more fully into our heart’s true desires. As we learn to do this fearlessly and no longer hold any part of ourselves back, we learn to open our innermost lives to the world around us: unbound and unafraid.
It can be so frightening to be seen by the world, to open our true feelings and to allow the world to see our deepest and greatest desires. But as we do this we realize we’ve filled our innermost cup with love and it is now overflowing fully and spilling forth into our lives, inviting others to live the same way. As I write this, I hear the wise words of Margaret Mead,
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Who we are is enough to change the world.
There isn’t a more perfect time to be reminded of this. What are we still holding on to that is holding us back? What outdated stories are we ready and willing to let go of? I’m not saying this is easy to do, but eventually we must decide whether what we fear is more important than the love that’s possible. This doesn’t mean that we reject and discredit what we have, for it is only in true gratitude that real growth happens. It is only in true love that we can be liberated into a life that truly feels like our own.
True love isn’t some abstract, idealistic and temporal dream. In fact, it’s available right here and right now eternally. We needn’t look any farther than our very own being, our very own presence to know that the unique and creative expression that life is having of itself is enough.
What you have, what you know, what you are is enough.
There’s nothing you need to do, to be or to have - you are enough just as you are and, in fact, it is only when you’re willing to be just as you are that you’ll have the greatest impact on your friends, family, community and our beautiful planet.
This message is a simple, quiet and gentle nudge, a reminder, for you to go in the direction of your truest desire and also to return home to your true nature which is love. This is also an invitation for you to confidently let go of playing a victim role, of believing you are stuck or that you don’t matter. These are outdated lies and you are ready to let them go. Start right here and right now. Start with openness. Openness comes from our willingness to stay true to who we are.
Open up to your feelings and let them paint your world with love.
